For most of my adult life, I've been seeking out holistic health practices - I was one of the first of my peers to take up yoga, became vegetarian, started trail running to be closer to nature, started using all natural cleaning products, then starting going to a most awesome shop to get my cleaning products refilled to cut down on my footprint. I've been meditating for years, working to connect to my own inner guidance to lead me into what's right.
Making my own cleaning supplies is how my journey + education with essential oils began. After a health crisis hit our family (my Dad had a very rare from of cancer - he beat it by the way!) and I saw how small day - to - day items could impact our health so greatly, I went on a mission to purify our home and remove all our toxic cleaning supplies. Our home became toxin-free because I chose to control whatever I could in and around our environment. It took me down a road and a love of plants I never thought possible. Our home became an apothecary of all things plants - essential oils, adaptogens, anything and everything we could incorporate, we did!
Our focus became proactively impacting our health so we needn't EVER have to turn to pharmaceuticals.

Having always used essential oils for my at home cleaning products, searching out other uses didn't occur to me until I began my journey with Breathwork. The only other modality my incredible teacher David Elliott uses to move and clear energy during breathwork sessions is essential oils.
Essential oils plus energy?! NOW you are talking my language!!
I immediately became enamoured on a whole new level with essential oils. My days became filled with reading, learning and studying everything possible on the impact these powerful little plants have on energy. At the same time, I began researching brands, sourcing, potency, you name it! As I mention in this blog post, I'd been approached about oils in the past, and it never felt aligned. Fast forward to finding doTERRA.
I researched so much of what makes this company different. I very quickly learned they are a humanitarian company who sells essential oils. The quality and purity is unrivalled. The relationships with the farmers is unlike any other business model. They truly exist to impact as many lives as possible with one drop of oil - those on each side of the bottle and those in between. As of course is how the world works, an opportunity to join a doTERRA team with the incredible Elena Brower came across my Instagram feed. That butterfly feeling hit and I immediately took action. The next day I was on a call with Elena asking questions and sharing my trepidation about network marketing. Learning so much from her about the product, culture and mission of doTERRA, I chose to partner with them. I ordered my kit unsure of what to expect - little did I know, these powerful bottles of plants would change my life and the life of the people around me!
Taking my time to experience the Oils for mySelf was key. My intention was to use something new each day and share my experience if it felt correct. Slowly, over time, I'm now to a point where my day consists of using multiple oils, in many different ways - from proactive health, mood management, supporting my hormones (this deserves it's own post!) to enhancing my food, these Oils are a part of my day to day lifestyle.
I'm so fortunate that simply purchasing a kit, coupled with my love and passion of these Oils has translated into creating an incredible business. My days are now spent in service to others. Learning + growing, supporting an awesome team of people, impacting my clients lives while contributing from my highest servitude. It is an incredible feeling to have my contribution come to life through such meaningful work.
